Kathmandu/ The much-anticipated arrival of Brazilian football legend Roberto Carlos in Kathmandu for the Nepal Super League (NSL) has been postponed due to an unforeseen illness, according to an official statement released by NSL organizers.
Originally scheduled to arrive on April 18, Carlos will now be visiting Nepal at a later date, which is yet to be confirmed. The organizers expressed deep regret over the delay and apologized to fans who had been eagerly awaiting the football icon’s appearance.
“Due to unforeseen circumstances and a sudden illness, Roberto Carlos will not be able to arrive in Kathmandu on the previously scheduled date,” the statement read. “This decision was made solely in consideration of his health, which remains our top priority.”
Despite the delay, organizers have confirmed that Roberto Carlos is still committed to visiting Nepal and will join the NSL before the finals. Discussions are underway with his team to finalize new travel dates, which will be announced soon.
For fans who have already purchased tickets, the NSL has provided two options:
A full refund for those who wish to cancel their tickets.
Or the option to retain their ticket, which will remain valid for the rescheduled match featuring Roberto Carlos.
The NSL has extended its heartfelt apologies for the inconvenience caused and thanked fans for their continued support and understanding.
