Kathmandu inDrive, the global mobility and urban services platform, has successfully concluded its impactful ‘Rides For Goals’ campaign in Kathmandu, aiming to transform public school playgrounds and promote youth engagement in sports.
Launched for the entire month of May, the campaign pledged 10% of every third ride fare toward the renovation of playgrounds at selected public primary schools across the city. The funds raised were utilized to:
Renovate and enhance playground infrastructure, ensuring safe and stimulating spaces for students.
Distribute sports kits, including basketballs, futsal balls, and badminton rackets, to encourage early involvement in physical activity and team sports.
“At inDrive, we believe mobility should empower and uplift communities. ‘Rides For Goals’ reflects our commitment to social impact by directly supporting the health and development of schoolchildren through better play environments,” said Pavit Nanda Anand, APAC Communications Lead at inDrive. “We are proud to help create spaces where children can learn teamwork, build confidence, and grow through play.”
Mark Tolley, Regional Director of inDrive Asia Pacific, echoed the sentiment, stating:
“This initiative is a great example of how everyday actions — like taking a ride — can make a tangible difference. We’re committed to projects that create lasting value in communities, and ‘Rides For Goals’ is just one step toward ensuring that every child has access to the joy and benefits of play.”
The campaign is a part of inDrive’s broader mission to foster social equity and drive positive change in underserved communities.
